The Project
Impressions from the project process
Up to 30 m high VARIOKIT VST heavy-duty shoring towers served as falsework for the construction of the bridge edge sections. Each leg carried a load of around 600 kN.
The VARIOKIT falsework was an important element of a comprehensive PERI formwork and scaffolding solution for the 412 m long motorway bridge which spans the Rio Sordo.
Both the superstructure formwork as well as the falsework were based on the VARIOKIT engineering construction kit.
The VST 100 head spindle allowed hydraulic lowering and lifting of up to 300 mm while under full load.
The 2.00 m wide shoring scaffold sections are connected longitudinally by means of heavy-duty spindles and push-pull props to form shoring towers.
VARIOKIT and PERI UP are two modular construction systems with a flexible metric grid pattern.
The combinability with the PERI UP scaffold system ensured maximum accessibility and thus safe working conditions on the construction site.

Project Information
With the VST heavy duty tower we were able to adapt the support to the different heights. The assembly work was safe and quick thanks to the pre-assembled units.
