The Project
Impressions from the project process
The Lekki Ikoyi Bridge in Lagos is the first cable-stay bridge in Nigeria.
The 90 m high pylon with complex geometry carries the 225 m long main bridge section.
The Lekki Ikoyi Bridge has an overall length of 1,357 m and connects the two city districts of Lekki on Victoria Island and Ikoyi on Lagos Island.
PERI engineers combined the ACS and RCS climbing systems to create a project-specific optimally adapted formwork solution.
On the left, the ACS self-climbing system for the inclined front sides; on the right, the RCS rail climbing system for the forward and reverse inclinations as well as rounded surfaces.
With the help of the RCS rail climbing system, all 21 concreting sections could be climbed without requiring any modifications. The access technology was also an important part of the PERI solution.
